About products and suppliers

PET bottle blowing machines are a piece of industrial equipment used to produce plastic bottles of different shapes and sizes. PET stands for polyethylene terephthalate, which is a clear, strong, lightweight plastic. This material is also 100% recyclable and very malleable, making it the perfect substance for water bottle blow molding.

What is an Auto Blowing Machine Used For?

Not all plastic bottles and containers are shaped or sized the same. Water bottles, sports drinks bottles, and bottles of carbonated soda, for example, all have different measurements and angles. With a PET blow bottling machine, manufacturers can choose the exact dimensions, curves, and other features of each plastic container. Other uses for bottle blowing include cosmetics, pesticides, and minerals. Techniques include hot filling and wide-mouth.

How Does a Plastic Bottle Making Machine Work?

PET blow moulding machines work by reheating pre-moulded PET preforms into a desired shape. Bottle blowing moulds and preforms are available in countless shapes and sizes, depending on the product. These preforms are then positioned into a pre-selected mould in the bottle blowing machine. Next, the bottle blowing machine injects high-pressure compressed air into the preform which then expands, and takes the shape of the mold.

An arm on the plastic bottle blowing machine catches and holds the preform, pinching it closed as the tube closes. A blow pin is then inserted into the neck of the bottle to inject high-pressure air. Many blow bottling machines simultaneously create a threaded opening at the top of the bottle to accommodate screw-on lids and caps. This compressed air is food-grade to prevent contamination and so the plastic bottle blowing process doesn’t affect the product’s flavor.

How Much Do PET Bottle Blowing Machines Cost?

Depending on the size and functions, auto blowing machines for PET preforms and molds can cost several thousand dollars. While some models are around $3,500, other, larger machines, may cost as much as $10,000 or more. The faster and more efficiently they work, plus the types of preforms they accommodate can all impact the price of a PET blow moulding machine.
