What are the different types of gold washing machines?

There are four main types of gold washing machines. A sluice box is best for easy-to-wash and medium-sized ores. It is usually used in combination with a trommel wash plant or a vibrating washing screen. A grill is fixed down the length of the sluice to different-sized particles. The main benefit to sluice boxes is they allow for surging where other concentration methods do not. A gold trommel wash plant also known as a trommel scrubber is an elongated cylinder screen. A nozzle is attached to a tube in which the clay-containing ore is washed. A trommel should be used for clay, hard-to-wash and sticky materials. A spiral gold washer comes in three different styles: tilted, horizontal and combined. Tilt-tank washers are the most common among the three. Finally, there are vibrating screen gold washing machines that are used for easy-washed sand and gravel or shattered ore that can be separated by a flat vibrating screen equipped with a water sprayer. Vibratory wash plants are not recommended for clay or sticky materials. All of these types of gold washing machines can be manufactured as portable gold wash plants. While the biggest gold wash plant in the world may be needed for the largest mining companies, smaller businesses may find it beneficial to purchase a "plug and play" mobile gold wash plant or portable mini gold trommel because they are self-contained mobile plants suitable for small to medium scale commercial mining, exploration and batch sampling.
