How do you clean a crucible after use?

Each machine will have specific cleaning instructions however the basic method is as follows. First users should soak the crucible in a milk soap solution to remove all loose solids and then rinse it with water. The crucible can then be soaked in an acid solution and rinsed again with water. When the crucible is nearly dry it can be heated in the furnace to complete the cleaning process.
